Everyday objects.....

I find more and more that the things i find to be the most beautiful are the everyday objects....the well worn and tarnished...not the perfect or the new....i am drawn to things that tell their own story....that have had a past life.....theres a kind of comfort level in them....don't you think? Bathed in sunlight.....

The sun is shining,the birds are singing....what a beautiful day! Spending the day in Toronto with Meg...we always have such a good time together!Re-did the island with my newest junk store finds....but its the sun shining in on it that makes it all look so pretty!! At home with Trish.......

Trish and I have been the best of friends for along time(14 years & counting).....these are a few shots from her new "country" home.....its bright...fresh and charming.....she used to live two doors down from us,now shes about 20 minutes from here...she still shows up wanting her cup of Irish tea & plunks herself down at my island.......glad somethings never change! Tiny details.....

Well hello!!! Seems like forever since my last post... where does the time go.....did find time one morning to go "JUNKIN" with my girlfriend Trish, spent next to nothing on a few little treasures like this sweet little french tray......

some old spoons .....a couple tiny glass dishes perfect for holding seasalt.....

and best of all....these teeny tiny salt & pepper shakers......it just doesn't get better than that does it? Hope your all keeping well....so glad you came by! ~Chrissy~

Built in the early 1800's Stinson St.School is being turned into lofts....starting at $200,000 going up to $6oo,ooo....they will be grand and beautiful....buyers will have the option of keeping some of the original blackboards and other fixtures.They are around the corner from the mountain stairs & close to walking trails....what a wonderful lifestyle! Just look at the height of the ceilings and the stunning staircase....I can hardly wait to see them done! Meg was approached by the photographer & had a ton of photos taken on site.....she will be on some postcards they are using for advertising(kind of exciting) They are just around the corner from us and should do wonders for our real estate values!! So much inspiration out there...

Just spent a bit of time looking at some lovely blogs....the kind that make your heart skip a beat...and that got me thinking how lucky I am that so many of you take the time to stop by my little blog...vignette after vignette,your comments keep coming...never seeming to mind that I don't post grand rooms or far away places....so thank you,all of you ! This is a real creative outlet for me...one that I hope to continue for sometime to come! ~Chrissy~

Just a thought.....

Sooooooo.......I spent a few minutes this morning kinda tweeking my little white cupboard in the kitchen.....that got me thinking(something that scares John at the moment) ...what if we replaced the tin doors with.....glass?!?! That way I could enjoy whats inside more easily,right? On the fence about it,let me know what you think....talk soon ~Chrissy~
