Chrissy.......what a find! and in your attic.....that's soo fun!! you know what I did once with a grate similar? I used it for a warming trivet; put a little candle under my oven proof dish to keep the food warm.....it served more than just an aesthetic purpose -

I missed yesterday's post, I the silver that you found, there is something so wonderful about tarnished silver, I have fallen in love with it and pick it up whenever I see it. It's gorgeous! You must be so thrilled. I know I would be...I have the original mailbox to our house. It looks like a tall birdhouse and was tucked away amongst lots of trash in our crawlspace. I love it.
