A 92 year old Irish man(my husband knew) recently invited his family & all his friends to a dinner party at a well known hotel in Northern Ireland.....he met each of them at the door with a warm smile and open arms. Two days later,he was gone.... no one knew at the time that he was hosting his own wake......only the Irish! Have a Sunday worth remembering, Chrissy

I love looking at these photos. What a great story and I'm sure a great life lived.
I love to look at people's face and really study them. Especially the elderly, their faces tell a story. We, in our church, run a very large food bank, alot of elderly people come through and I love to watch them and wonder about and guess at the kind of lives they have lived. Grief and bitterness always leave behind tell tale signs, but so does thankfulness, joy and gladness. Great post, I like the thought behind it. Happy Thanksgiving my friend! Hugs, Cindy S.
What a beautiful story. I love the look of all the character that an older persons face displays. When I look in the mirror however (since I am now one of the older) it's hard to not see just wrinkles. I hope others see character. Hugs, Marty

I remember a "Little House on the Prairie" episode of a women doing something similar.
I so love these photos and they remind me so of my Irish Dad, and Great Aunt. Aunt Mamie has that lovely brogue accent and talked fondly of the "old country"
