Seafront living in the city.....

Freshly painted pine plank floors, soft hues of white......a clock set to Irish time, shells collected on walks along the seafront & the sweet smell of a fresh cut peony.....its not Ireland, but it does evoke the feeling of calm I was looking for...

I like the bed tucked into the corner by the window,I draped a piece of vintage lace from Belfast across the pillows,I think it lends a romantic touch to the room.

Soft and simple is the look I wanted,a calm & peaceful place to start & end the day......thanks for coming by ~Chrissy~

Calm and beautiful.
Love the peony. Mine have not yet bloomed. I always cut and bring them indoors.
A group of us will be spending a week in Ireland next year. Any suggestions as to where to stay.
We'll be flying into Ireland staying one week then to Pembrokeshire Wales for a week then to London and back home.
Have a great day!

Dear Chrissy,

How absolutely beautiful....funny- because when I think of Ireland, I automatically think 'green' (isles and such) but really, it's (I hear and have only seen photos) overcast, foggy, and best described: pure mysteriously lyrical....your room looks just that: clean, romantic, but with an aire of nostalgia and history..

sorry to have rambled~
have a beautiful day....

Ohhhh, this is beautiful and reminds me very much of a trip to Ireland I went on with my brother, sister and uncle once upon a time. We rented a car and drove all over the countryside staying in bed and breakfasts' along the way. My favorite part of the trip was the time that we stayed in a beautiful hotel in Dublin - right on the beach of the Irish Sea. It was gorgeous.

Have a peaceful day!

Hi Chrissy! Don't you worry, 'cause for you, I can even just take the pillow insert out and ship you only the cover -- that would be the least expensive, most efficient way to go. You can decide. If you really, really want it sent WITH the fill, you might want me to wait until the pillow arrive here so I can weigh it, etc. for an accurate postage quote. :)
Thanks, friend!

Hi Sea! I've sooo enjoyed catching up on your last posts. Here are some of the things you create that speak to my heart: those vintage postcards and books, the seashells, the PALETTE that you use, bell jars, old lace, clocks..... Honestly, this is a huge compliment, your home looks totally timeless, nothing trendy. LOVE IT!!!!!!

..... looking at your lovely bedroom I think I just figured out my problem...... I've got too much stuff in my bedroom.

Your is so simple and serene.
You should write a book with all your lovely vignettes !

....speaking of books...or magazine - I probably paid too much for the Jeanne D'arc Living Magazine but it truly is inspirational . It was $20.00 plus about $8 shipping and handling.

Take care .. and can't wait to see your next post ...... the one below with the gorgeous clock has got my curiosity. Can't wait to see what you've created!

Hi Chrissy. Just wanted to stop by and say thanks for all the blog love you've left lately. I've been swampped with comments and e-mails. I can't get caught up on returning the love and my hubby is about to divorce me. Lol.

I love the sea/city living. Coastal is so hot right now.

Hi Girlfriend...

Just read your sweet note that you left for me on my cherub apothecary jar...I'm so glad that you came by and thank you for the sweet compliments!!! Girl, I have had so much going on...I don't know if I'm coming or going! But I do apologize for not coming by sooner!

My friend...I just adore your soft and serene seaside bedroom!!! You said that is what you wanted and you certainly went after it and so successfully!!! I love your freshly painted plank floors...I have the same flooring in my red dining room but I've painted them gray. I do love them...love the look and feel they offer to the room!!! I just love all of your pretty new vignettes! Once again, I bow down to you, "Ms. Queen of all glorous vignettes"!!! I love how you used the burlap...I'm going to have to get some and play with it! Hehe! Don't think I can make it look as good as you did though! Ohhh, and that pretty soft pink peony is fabulous...and I love how you mix the textures of the old rough burlap and the soft sweet peony!!! It's really beautiful, my friend!!! Love the pretty irish lace too! Ohhh...and your old clocks...lovely!!! Okay, I know that I've said it before but you know that I have fallen in love with your pretty black and white chair...it's just gorgeous!!! My friend, you have truly brought a serene beauty to your bedroom...Congratulations!!!

Warmest wishes,
Chari

Chrissy I get so frustrated at my self - my vocabulary is so little- just have such a tough time expressing how lovely your home and this room is- Ireland time- what a neat idea! Did I tell you my Dad was 1st generation American, both parents came over from Ireland and it has always been a dream of mine to go there someday- I really do hope that desire comes about -
