Well our daughter Meg arrived home late last night from Haiti....she is still sleeping at the moment so we are yet to hear all the details of her trip...she did tell us that she would go back tomorrow if she could and that it was a "life changing " trip. With well over 500 photos I am sure we will hear lots of amazing and sad stories...the metal cross and heart she bought for me on the streets of Port au Prince, and the large shell she found while walking on the beach near the Wings of hope boys home where she stayed...I am so proud of her and who she has become at just 17 she has the kindest heart of anyone I know...and I sure am glad shes home!!! Chrissy Photos of Haiti to follow...promise!!

What a beautiful shell and heart. I bet you're so glad she's home but what a wonderful daughter you have!! I can't imagine what it's like there. :( Tell us stories when you hear from her but definitely let her sleep for awhile. :)
what lovely keep sakes! I bet she is going to have loads to tell and that this trip will live with her forever!
glad she made it safely home
How nice to have your daughter home! She sounds lovely. I love the little vignette and the seashell and other treasures are so great!!!
Your photos are always SO beautiful! And how exciting that your daughter is back from Haiti. What wonderful things she brought you. Hopefully, she'll let you blog some, with photos about the trip. I went to Honduras on a mission trip last summer and it changed MY life.
Ohhh Chrissy...I'm so glad to hear that your Meg is home safe and sound!!! What a proud mama you must be to have such a selfless and giving daughter!!! I can't wait for you to share some of her stories with us as well!
Your gifts are beautiful and so very special...what priceless treasures!!!
Have a wonderful Wednesday, my friend!
Love ya,

OMG!! Im so glad our beautiful Meg is home safe! Chrissy you should be so proud of her! I actually had to look up Haiti on the web because I didn't know where it was. Tell us, this was no vacation, right? What was her reason for going and what did she do there? Was it like a missionary trip? That heart is so beautiful, love it! Hope you share stories and pictures with us! Love ya sweetie! xoxo
So glad your beautiful daughter is home safely! Bet you can't wait to hear all the details and to see all the photos. The cross and heart is beautiful!
I cry just the thought of the children in this world all alone with no parents. i don't think i could bare seeing it in person. I know we shouldn't turn away when they show such devastating stories on TV, but I just can't look at those kids faces! This world needs people like Meg, God will bless her immensely!! xoxo
I'm soooo glad your precious daughter made it home safely. I know you will always treasure the gifts she brought back for you, as only a mother's heart can.
Huge "sigh of relief" !
so, so ,so glad that she's home safe and sound !! ...was thinking about you last night when you were picking her up !
And so cool to see that she has the same exquisite taste as you !!
How cool is that ?
The cross and heart are divine!
Take care and can't wait to hear about her trip,
Hugs

HI! You must be so proud of her! What a special girl ~ I'm struggling to keep my teenagers in line so "Good Job!" I can't wait to see more pictures of her trip. I love that she knows you so well that she found you the most perfect special surprises to bring home.
Happy Spring!
Sarah
Chrissy - My daughter longs to do this but I am not sure of what agency or church to go through. We do not belong to a church where we currently live. Was Haiti safe enough? There are youth ministry trips on the Internet but I am afraid to just pick one. I was actually thinking of getting her this trip as a graduation gift this year. SHE WANTS IT BADLY!!!! cannot wait to hear more!
Hi Sea, hope all is well with you and yours and that ya'll are enjoying the arrival of Spring. Can't wait to see what new creations you're working on, I always enjoy the inspiration!
