French Christmas Decor...

                             Hello my lovely friends ...just wanted to pop in quick and show you my little French treasures!

                              Too hard to pick a favorite but oh how I love my little 23 f  wine glasses..always wanted a set of them and recently found them in my favorite little French shop...

                 The other thing I always wished I could find was a few torchons..I found twelve of them & I love them stacked neatly on my shelf in the kitchen..such an authentic French touch.

                          Last but not least my sweet little bundle of twine wrapped in its pretty jdl paper.Thanks so much for stopping by..hope everyone is ready for Christmas! Till next time xoxo

No Room Left Untouched..

                                  From the kitchen....

                  to the den...

                   high up on a shelve a bit of greenery ....

                      even the bed post is adorned...yes there is a touch of Christmas in every room.

Of All The Seasons....

                            Of all the seasons...from the first sign of spring..

                to the hot hazy days of summer...

              to the fresh feeling fall brings...

                its the winter season that so many of us dread that I kinda have a soft spot for.

                   The cold crisp days and dark cozy evenings...not to mention Christmas..the best "season" of all. I know its a little early but who can resist the smell of cedar and pine..I know I can't !!  Let the Christmas décor begin...xoxo

Every Now and Then...

                Its true you know...you cant take the city out of girl...

                but every now and then you can indeed DRAG her out to the country for a day or two.

                     The air was fresh,the nights quiet and even the near constant rain didn't bother me.

                          Could I live in the country...most likely not...

                    but I sure do enjoy it while I am there! Hope everyone is keeping well...be back soon with some early Christmas décor (cause I just can't wait..) xoxo

French Romance...

                     At first it was the light..the way it bounced perfectly off the lace in my bedroom window...

                         then it was the colour of the hydrangeas..a rich, crisp red.

                       even the old rad adds a bit of European charm...

                          Of course looking at the old church outside my window evokes such a feeling of peace and warmth...

                    All of these things combined just made me want to create a romantic..French still life.

                           After all who doesn't like a little French romance...xoxo

At Last....

                A French mangle cloth ...

                      looks right at home on the harvest table...

                     my old filing cabinet...takes pride of place in a new spot..

                          old French books with their tattered pages...go hand in hand with dried hydrangeas.

                        A new season is upon us...at last!
