Rustic & Raw....

This old board has been in our basement forever...
think it was the top of an ironing board in its first life....its just shy of 5ft. long...

I have used it as a shelf many times....but now it graces our island & looks like an old french cutting board (to rough to use as one though)

I love how imperfect it is....its worn and cracked and old.....
looks like it belongs in our kitchen...so thats where it will stay ...at least for now! Hope you have a great day...mild and wet here , can all but smell spring in the air!  x0x0

Hi Chrissy, it was so nice to hear from you !! Yes, you are so right, it was almost impossible to get me out of the shop, haha ;)) So difficult to choose just one of the lamps, lamp heaven for sure! Hopw are you ? Did you have a nice christmas celebration ? I love todays post, it is so beautiful with white porcelain against a rustic wooden table. My favorite combination decoration in the kitchen.

Ps : By the way, I will absolutely try to update more often this year, I really am !

I like it too. Love that little wicker cake dome too. Old wood has so much character. It's nice that you found a place to use it.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. These are lovely pics-the combination of the wood & white is very appealing. And I really like the wire crown you have pictured on your sidebar!

Hi! New visitor her( from Norway) I found you via via via facebook, link comment from you. Ah well I am happy I did. I have seen a few posts and I dont want to leave. We like so much of the same. I love this board the deep rich patina makes me happy of just looking at it. Your kitchen oooh I am melting. The brick wall in your kitchen is to die for. Love the countertops and the mirror above the sink was really a cute blast from the past. Love it! We hare in the making of a new kitchen ourself. Right before it is finished so our house is mayhem and the kitchen is evolving fast in my blog now. Stop by. :) Im gonna stay now for a while and enjoy your blog.
