Nordic French...Flea Market....Industrial Chic......

"What would you call your style" someone recently asked me....
I thought about it for a moment and then said....
"Why its...modern country swedish nordic french rustic farmhouse industrial chic flea market style of course"......ahhhhh....what is my style ????? does it really matter,do I have to have a name for it...is there a name for it??? Do you know EXACTLY what your style is.......
I think what matters more than having a name for how you decorate is the fact that you like your own style....that your home reflects you..don't you agree?
Oh well lets just hope no one else asks me that question for a while.....oh and I want to thank everyone who left me a note on my last post....your the best! x0x0 Chrissy

Hi Chrissy, you're so right, our style should be about what we love and how we connect, not trying to be someone else. I love the clean simplicity and warmth that you create. Just read about your daughter, Meg. Blessings to her and your whole family, xo Debra

That is so true - it's hard to 'define' our own styles. I love your style!
I guess mine is Nordic French Shabby Chic farmhouse. So many combinations out there!
Love your shelf decor, and kudos to your beautiful daughter for having a heart so big for the world!

Gosh Chrissy, don't know where I've been, just seen a couple of posts of yours that I missed. Your daughter is lovely by the way and I have a daughter who spent 6 mths in Guatemala so I know what you're going through! As for style, I'm in the same boat. Some say cottagey, modern country, others say beach cottage, I don't know what to call myself lol, but yes, it does reflect me and I like it. Have an awesome week!

My answer is always "eclectic" because I love little bits of lots of styles all mixed together. I tend to find a place for something if I love it.

I'm with you my friend! I used to think that something was wrong with me because I loved so many different styles and could never settle for just one. Then I realized that it really didn't matter. I like what I like and I don't have to follow any rules. I just try to make our home reflect us.

I love your style and I always come back to your blog for more inspiration!

Have a Happy Easter Chrissy!

Well done...your home and most importantly, your family. I'll pray for Meg's safety as she does her compassionate work.

I play it on the safe side and call my style Vintage Chic. To me, it encompasses everything I love - shabby, french, industrial, farmhouse, blah blah! I couldn't agree with you more. The label isn't important; it's how the space makes YOU feel. Looking forward to more of your style. Thanks for commenting not so long ago, Chrissy!

I love your style; it doesn't have to have a label. Your style is you. My style is me. It has taken years to arrive at this point. Life, family, travel, reading and treasure hunting has made us who we are and what our style is. Celebrate it everyday. Cheers, have a wonderful day.
