Everyday objects.....

I find more and more that the things i find to be the most beautiful are the everyday objects....the well worn and tarnished...not the perfect or the new....i am drawn to things that tell their own story....that have had a past life.....theres a kind of comfort level in them....don't you think? Have a wonderful day......

  4. O, yes, SEA...I, too, love the olden much more than the new. Always have...for many years.
I think it is the things from the past, things with history that tend to make a cottage warmer and much more charming. hmmm...think I'll work on a post about this very thing...:)
    Have a good Sunday..
    love, bj

  5. Bonjour Chrissy,
I do agree, I love all things old and vintage. The beauty, the history - why don't they make pretty things like they used to.
Thank you for coming by and your kind comment, it is much appreciated.
Hope your Spring is off to a fabulous start.
    Happy Sunday to you,
    Mimi

  8. Agreed, 110%!

It's like with wrinkles, each one was earned, each one tells a story. That's why I think it's so tragic when these aging movie stars make themselves unreconizable in a misguided attempt to cling to youth.

    Great post!

  9. I really needed a dose of your peacefulness tonight. The pictures are wonderful. If only each could speak.

Thanks for the kind words about my mom. We don't know yet what we are dealing with. I'm going to go spend some time with them while we wait. Thank you for caring.

  10. ya know...I have to agree that the shiny perfect and new items just don't feel the same. I prefer something that might just tell a story if it could talk!
    hugs to you my friend.

  13. Chrissy - Hi! I have been stalking you these days on google reader. I am so busy that I haven't been able to get over to many of my fav blogs and leave comments but I always read your entries! I love this current vignette with the different little cloches-

You are such an inspiration- after taking my dining room paper down I had a glimpse of it being more Chrissy like- haven't done much yet with all the ministry stuff we are involved in but it is fun thinking about it!

  27. Hi Sea, I couldn't agree with you more. And there's something about blogging, maybe it's taking more photos than I normally would, that helps me see the beauty in the ordinary, everyday things too!

  30. Hi Chrissy, thanks so much for stopping by and leaving me a note. In strolling through your posts, I think you are right-- we definitely were separated at birth! I love every image Ihave seen here. You have a way with the camera. Objects that bear the marks of time are my favorite ones, imperfections and all. Natural and simple are the concepts that guide me. So glad to have met you. I am now loyal follower and cannot wait to read more!
