When all else fails....

Maybe its just the time of year.....but I can't seem to get anything right. I get into one of those "I hate my house"moods & when that happens I know to just walk away.....so I redid the kitchen counter & called it a day! Hope your creative juices are still flowing.....till next time ~Chrissy~

I am so glad to hear that someone else feels that way. I think it's the January funk but I feel like I just want to start over!!!

Your counters look gorgeous!!!

Enjoy!!!

Hi Chrissy!
I don't what it is, but my creative juices have been overabundant lately, and believe me I am taking every advantage of it while the iron is hot!
Looks to me like your are still working from the looks of your kitchen counters. You amaze me with the beautiful vingettes that you create. You take unusual things and make them works of art.

I love it all.

Would you like to do a trade....I'll take that house of yours with the GORGEOUS decorating-LOL!
You know I just spent 3 days re-painting my studio and I, too, am feeling really disappointed with the result--NOW WHAT!!??!!

Oh my... your house is lovely.... just count all your blessings... It just seems to be in the air.... I am also looking for a few fixes but nothing except wants... certainly not needs... I have far more than I ever could need so I have a smile on my face and joy in my heart....

Chrissy,
Your kitchen counter looks fabulous!! Love the silverware. I have a bunch of old silverware & have been trying to figure out a cute way to display it...when I'm short on counter space & so it makes sense. I like what you did...it looks great!

It is beautiful~~~ I love your home. I visit your blog often because we have the same taste. I love decorating with color schemes. When I need to be motivated to do things around our home I just click on your blog and it helps me get motivated.
I think that we all have times when we dislike our homes. I just wish mine would stop leaking at this point, the dry wall is ruined, but I guess it could be so much worse.

You should never hate your house! I am also in that mood...and I have a list a mile long of all the things I want to change. Some easy, some not so much...some frugal...some not.

How can you say that?! Your house is always so beautiful...with such beautiful things. Okay, I can understand though. I've been there. :) Then I just go hug on Quincy and make it all better. LOL!

Hi, Sea...O, I do go thru the same feelings...maybe everyone does?
Days when I hate everything in my house and want to throw it all out and start all over.
But...like you, I just turn my thoughts to something else and then...walla, overnight, I am in love again!!

Chrissy, I think it looks very snazzy. Love what you did! But I truly do understand about getting into a design funk. I'm trying to pull myself out of one right now and finish some things that HAVE to be done. Sending you warm hugs across the miles...

XO,

Sheila :-)

Bonjour Chrissy,
Some days are like that - but it certainly inspired you to do a fabulous display on the counter.
Bon weekend!

Lovely, really lovely!!! I have used a lot of silver and white in my new kitchen, I will show a few glimpses of it today. I am a long ways from being completely finished and I am flying to Vancouver in two days and will be gone for two weeks. Hugs, Cindy S

I think it's natural to be a little unhappy with our surroundings at times though yours looks good as always'

Chrissy ~

I think everything you do turns out amazingly!!! But, I know what you mean, sometimes the vision in your head just doesn't translate to reality and things don't quite work out (happens to me a lot)...the counter looks great though!!

I'm glad you liked your gift from Shannon...she is so sweet! I would love to see pics after you help her with her kitchen!!

Enjoy your week ~
