Everything must come to end.......














On a recent & rare trip up to the attic John found this old grate....covered with old newspapers and years of dust.Now its on our kitchen counter,he assures me there are no more treasures in this house.....but he has told me that before !! Thanks for stopping in, Chrissy

  15. Chrissy.......what a find! and in your attic.....that's soo fun!! you know what I did once with a grate similar? I used it for a warming trivet; put a little candle under my oven proof dish to keep the food warm.....it served more than just an aesthetic purpose -

I missed yesterday's post, I the silver that you found, there is something so wonderful about tarnished silver, I have fallen in love with it and pick it up whenever I see it.     It's gorgeous! You must be so thrilled. I know I would be...I have the original mailbox to our house. It looks like a tall birdhouse and was tucked away amongst lots of trash in our crawlspace. I love it.
