The kindness of strangers....
While out for a drive on Sunday afternoon,we came across a tiny,run down antique shop....of all the treasures we found,it was these old photos that caught my eye...when I asked the man how much they were,he said" For you, not a red penny,you seem to be the rightful new owner" I of course thanked him,and told him how much I loved them. I thought about it on the way home,how nice it was for him to do that for a stranger, and how it doesn't take much to make someones day, he sure made mine!! Hope this finds everyone well, Chrissy

How cool is that and well deserved too! Oh I love old photos. I like to just sometimes place them in bowls and admire them, but I often wonder what their life was like and why someone would even part with them.

That is such a sweet story, old photos are so nice. I like the way you have them laying with other objects, the book and little starfish. I have some really nice old pictures, but I have trouble thinking of ways to showcase them. Enjoyed this, thank you. Hugs, Cindy S

ReplyDeleteI have an obsession with old photographs that has gone from admiring them to what the history is behind the photo to full on genealogy research... hence my office filled with files and boxes of photographs, stories, documents and information of family back to the 1500's

It is a wonder I can do anything on this computer, but when I first created my blog I did something so that anyone could leave a comment...no ideal what it was, but susan at between naps on the porch told me how to do it. Susan is so nice and she could tell you too.
