Modern Rustic....

                            Its been so long since I have made any changes...anywhere in my apartment. Not even sure why...not enough time...nothing new..time of year.. I cant blame it on lack of inspiration that's for sure!!

                           So yesterday I decided to freshen up my tiny kitchen...

                              its amazing really..just by moving things around you can come up with a whole new look. I am really into the whole MODERN RUSTIC feel at the moment...even with its lack of colour it still feels quite fresh to me.

                   I am also still debating new counter tops..thinking about butcher block (ALOT)..but for now the black works.Hope everyone is well and happy.    xo

Just a few more weeks....

                                 I keep telling myself ...it wont be long now...

                            just another few weeks..well, ok maybe seven or eight and the garden centres will start to pop up everywhere...like they never left in the first place..

                  It only takes one to make me forget the long winter we have had...the snow, the ice and those bitter winds !

                            I will buy some thyme...some rosemary....mint and maybe even a pot of parsley. Just a few more weeks...

A very special post...

                    Anyone who has followed my blog for any amount of time knows about my MEG....

                           My now 23 year old beauty who left her heart in HAITI at the young age of 17..what can I tell you about Meg...I can tell you she has the biggest heart of anyone I have ever known..I can tell you she is the bravest person I know..that her love and passion for those she has met on her many trips to HAITI is stronger than most can imagine.

             I can tell you she works three jobs here at home ...each one involves helping those less fortunate. What I cant tell you is how proud I am of her...there are no words for that.She is now trying to raise funds so that some of her friends in HAITI may have a chance for a better life..she has created a website in hopes to spread her message. Paint them..or lose them...

                           Once I get something in my head...well, you know....

                    I knew I had some black paint left over from my kitchen counter re-do so I decided to paint my bathroom vanity and mirror..love how they look now(as long as you don't look too close)

                   Then I decided to take the two cupboard doors off (below my island)...it took me such a long time to get them off...as the only tool I had was a butter knife...dah!!

                         I do love it though...more space to display things ...and since I am NOT a neat person behind closed doors removing them seemed to be the best option! Anyhow...bit of a strange post perhaps but I do thank you for coming by...hope all is well in your world! oxox

The Joy of Red....

                                  I always have a few bits of red around ....

                               but this time of year...

                            I add it where ever I can....

                           its the perfect Christmas colour...don't you agree!?

                               It goes so well with greenery...like a match made in heaven!

                              So my Christmas décor has begun....

                        I think I may even get a tree ... and adorn it with red berries..oh lala!!!

                              After all....it is the happiest time of year...oxxo
