Written On the Wall..

There were two things I really, really wanted to find this summer....
one of them was a chalkboard...not just any chalkboard though..it had to be old..it had to be big..and it had to be affordable! Just when I had all but given up hope of finding one...there it was....hung way up high in a funky little shop in" Shakespeare" a small town miles from home..
its big(four feet long..) its old...and it was very affordable..at under fifty dollars!!!
I love how it looks in my little nook....recipe on it today..perhaps a quote tomorrow...who knows! As if that wasn't enough to make my day..I also found the second thing on my summer "bucket list"....what a wonderful Saturday I had..out with friends treasure hunting...life is good!! Be back soon...x0x0

Love it! It makes a wonderful statement on your wall and the fact that it is authentically old gives it more character. Love the recipe you wrote on it. You're lucky to have a large wall like that to hang it on! Great find.

Oh I do want you to link up, it is so easy. When my Inspire Me post goes live this afternoon, at the bottom of the post you will see a you are next or add your link line, just click on that and then it will ask you for your url. When you are at your post the top line will say your blog address and a bunch of other stuff relating to your post. Copy all of that and paste it on the line on my blog that asks for the url. The next line asks for your title. Just name your post, then the next line asks for your email address. this will not show up, but you have to enter it then click on the button under all of that and it will take you to a screen that shows all the pictures on your post. pick one and click on it. That will add the pic to my blog and you will be all linked up. Really easy. Hope to see you there.

Hugs, Marty

Oh, I love your chalkboard and what a great size! I have a large one similar to this with the little ledge on the bottom to hold the chalk. Unfortunately it's out in storage since I can't find the "perfect" spot for it right now. It used to be in my kitchen until I got my little pie safe cupboard. You've inspired me to keep looking:-)
