Well Worn....

As I get ready for a busy day at work tomorrow...selling expensive skincare...giving advice to women on how to keep their skin looking young....listening to them complain about this wrinkle and that wrinkle...I think to myself...if only they could see...
if only they could see the beauty in a face well worn with time...
if only they knew how each line tells a story and has been well earned...is it just me that see's beauty in an aged face...it can't be...
.....this last photo is my favorite I took it while on a boat in Ireland..I fell in love with his tired old face.....how could I not....enjoy your weekend and please...don't worry about those wrinkles...o.k???  x0x0 Chrissy

  5. You're obviously a very caring person to take notice of the "inside" of the person rather than just the "outside". I think we've all become scard of looking old because we feel like the world revolves around the young. I am middle-aged and am at the threshold of getting grey hair and changes in skin tone. It's scary. It's a reminder of what's to come and what I'm losing. I like how you're looking at it though.

  6. Beautiful post Chrissy!!
I think that wrinkles are accomplishments that you've made throughout your life. Why mess with your own graceful beauty as you age?
Hope you have a lovely weekend.
    Sincerely,
    Melinda

  16. I love this post... well said. And I love this old man on the boat. I've been to Ireland many times, my Dad is from there and I love seeing the "old timers"... as he would call them. I love your blog.
