My Dream White Kitchen.....

Hello there....Happy 2012 !!!  Its funny isn't it how quickly time goes....it was a year ago now that our dark and dreary kitchen was under construction....how can that be!?
I can hardly remember what it looked like..I think I have blocked it from my mind!
I still come down in the morning and get a buzz when I turn the light on in here...I dreamt about this kitchen for so long...
from the tiny details to the exposed brick wall......
from the antique beams John salvaged & stained (and installed). I had always wished I  had an island and thanks to my awesome (and talented husband) I do! Next post I will show you the beautiful coffee table he made me for Christmas.
There is nothing after a year that I would change about this room....
I know some people thought that antique pine counters were abit odd but I would never go back to anything else...John did such a good job making and staining them...
they are beautiful and soooooo easy to care for..I love them!
Anyway I hope I did not bore you with more kitchen photos ....it really is my favorite room in the house....
Hope you all have a lovely day.I so appreciate your visits and comments..I really do!! Till next time, all the best Chrissy x0

  1. Oh, I love your white kitchen...It is so cheerful...I am moving into a white kitchen in about six weeks and can't wait to decorate it....Although I think we are updating our appliances to Stainless Steel. I never had a white kitchen but am looking forward to it!

    Have a wonderful week.

  6. You definitely did not bore me with your beautiful kitchen photos. One thing I love about your home is that it is not "builder basic". It is unique and charming and full of inspiration. I love your calm color palette and your old fashioned accessories.

  14. Wow. I have no idea how people create such gorgeous places with just the right mix of freshness and rustics. My attempts look more like fresh mess and rust. Love my first visit to your blog!

  21. Do you often wonder why most kitchens are white? That's because the color helps people see how clean the place is right away. If the owner sees that the kitchen has become dirty, there would be a motivation to clean it right away. It's one discreet way of helping maintain the kitchen.
