The little brass sign on the door is in Irish, it reads "A Hundred Thousand Welcomes",some days it feels as though that many feet have come through our front door....but I take that as a compliment, after all what good is a doorstep if its not well worn? All the best,Chrissy
Indeed it's a compliment...plus a testament of the warmth and kindness of the home's hostess. You've made your nest a place for visitors to feel welcome and at home. Have a lovely day! Sandra
How adorable! Love it. Where did you find it? Your decor is so timeless. I should be baking something very soon. :) Unfortunately some of that baking took residence on my butt (about 2 lbs worth) and I decided to cook something somewhat healthy last food post. LOL! Hope you had a great weekend, Chrissy!
What a nice sentiment. And so true, all the beautiful furniture, accessories, etc. would be meaningless without the love and laughter of family and friends! "Talk soon" friend!
Hi Chrissy, I had seen those words or should I say saying before but never knew what they meant. Love it!!! Anyone would feel welcomed coming into your home. Carole

ReplyDeleteHospitality is something the world is lacking these days. The door is a true beauty.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Your jar of shells in a previous post remind me of a few of my own. I'm a shell collector and never have too many.
What a gorgeous door! Love it! ~Lori
