For sometime now I have been feeling like my"creative juices" have dried up,as though nothing I do looks fresh or "quite right"....I thought maybe I need a good bit of retail therapy,or perhaps a good magazine....then this morning I was outside watering my herbs, when it hit me...there is inspiration all around us if we just take the time to look! So here is what I saw as inspriational this morning, all right in my own backyard!! Have a wonderful, creative, eye opening day my friends ~Chrissy~
So true, it's everywhere if you just look.
ReplyDeleteChrissy,
ReplyDeleteI think we all understand periods of 'dryness' when it comes to creativity. I've just been through a period myself.
For me, those are times to step back and reevaluate my life a bit. Just reconnect with myself. Slow down, a take a breath.
Once i realized it is OK to just not be creative for a bit, it helped. Even God took a rest. =)
Your pics are wonderful, and I'm glad you are feeling better.
Blessings, and thanks for sharing your heart.
Barbara Jean
~!~Blissful~!~

ReplyDeleteDear Chrissy,
ReplyDeleteThe grass is always greener on our own side. You've already created your very own oasis of inspiration. How lovely it all is. So nice to come by and be inspired.
Hugs,
Sandra
I love how the wandering vine climbs the red brick. The black window casing is also quite striking.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day!

Hi, Sea..inspiration AND blessings all around us, dear one...
ReplyDeletePerfectly said Chrissy - we need to look around us and notice the obvious, xv
ReplyDeleteMorning Sea, I couldn't agree with you more, it's all right in front of us. Sometimes it's a color combination we would have never thought of, or seeing the beauty in something old and weathered. I love the look of time worn things. And I'm beginning to realize that I love red and aqua
ReplyDeleteTOGETHER!!!
Thanks for the great pics and inspiration! Love that bench in the corner! Have a great day! Angie
ReplyDeleteGod's beauty does it to me every time...and nature is seen in your simplistic vingnettes you create for yourself and share with your readers....
ReplyDeletehave a blessed day!
Chrissy, what exceptional photographs! Loved seeing all of them. Thank you for sharing these with us.
ReplyDeleteI think creative people always need down time. That allows us to recharge our batteries.
XO,
Sheila :-)
....Hey you......I'm alive ...and just barely kicking LOL
ReplyDeleteIt always brightens my day though, to see you've been thinking about me and took the time to say hello !
Always so very thoughtful !!
Things might get a little uglier before they get better though ...on top of my insane schedule...reports are coming up ..Ughhh!
But, I know that a blissful summer is just around the corner.
This summer we're going to take the train across Canada to Quebec to see my hubby's family for his parent's 60th. I'll tell the train to toot when we're passing through your neck of the woods LOL
Talk soon and thanks so much for thinking about me !!
Hugs

Hi Chrissy,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and saying hi. It means a lot to me. I've been keeping my nose to the grind stone lately and haven't had much time to myself. I know what you mean about the need to be inspired. It is everywhere but acting on it is the hard part.
It's people and blogs like yours that give me the motivation.
It's going to rain here too for the next few days so I may have time to be creative. Let's hope...LOL
Talk soon,
Carole
I love that you've found inspiration right at your fingertips. The photo of the open window....just breathtaking.
ReplyDeleteKris
Chrissy, You crack me up. I can so relate to the open window. I have the same 20 y/o son at my home.
ReplyDeleteKris
